How To Put On A Corset

When your corset is delivered it will be laced up at the back with two long loops at the waist. Loosen off the lacing then put the corset round you gently.
Then fasten the front busk. Start by doing the top clasp first and then you should find that the rest will follow easily.
If you struggle in any way then simply loosen the lacing off some more and try again. Do not loosen the lacing excessively or they may tangle and make it difficult to tighten. Once the busk is closed make sure the corset is 'sitting' properly and not pinching you anywhere then you can start to tighten the lacing by gently pulling on the loops.
Start by hooking you thumb into the first set of criss-cross laces and then pull to the desired tightness. Then use your other thumb on the next set of criss-cross laces down before letting go of the first. You might find a mirror useful if you are doing this on your own.
Try to tighten the lacing progressively towards the middle from both the top and bottom of the corset until you are happy with the comfort of the fit.
There should be a pleasant "Hugging" sensation, but you should still be comfortable.
To finish, tie the ends in a bow at the back or front.
DO NOT Over tighten or you will damage your corset.
Corsets mould to the body after a short period and the material takes the strain evenly, then you can go a little tighter.
