Transgender Life
Firstly - a big thank you to all the email I received following my last Diary about wanting to be a secretary for a day. It was the biggest response I have ever had to a Diary - many of you wanting to see more and wishing they could also have the opportunity.
Alas - I have not yet been able to set up 'doing it for real' for a day - as despite a number of offers there has not been the right thing. So if there is a office manager out there who would like a temporary secretary for a couple of hours - or indeed a shop requiring a shop assistant - then please contact me (email andmiz@tiscali.co.uk) The main thing here is that it's a true life situation where we get to be seen to be doing this for real, notjust in a photo studio! And I promise to wear that skirt and those 6" heels!
A Wednesday Night in Manchester
At least once a year now I try to go up to Manchester for a Wednesday night out. This follows from when I did my original TV Scene photo shoot for Transformation a few years back, and had the chance to visit the Northern Concord Wednesday night get-together.
If you only ever get the chance to go out dressed once, I can think of a no better friendly, safe, and fun evening. Usually the Northern Concorde meets at the Hollywood Show bar, but this evening I found from their web site that it was to be from the Hotel International as the Show Bar was being redecorated.
Now the great thing about Manchester on a Wednesday night is that it's a really girl-friendly night with lots of bars and clubs in very close (heel teetering) proximity.
So having arrived at Manchester, I checked into my hotel, which was the Rembrandt right in the heart of the village area. This has a new annex building which is separate from the main hotel and is really convenient for a girl to come and go as she pleases.
Having then done all the usual for a night out - yes shaving legs (twice!) and painting toe nails - I gathered up my clothes and accessories and headed off to the Transformation Shop. Just to make sure that I knew where to go when dressed, I walked round to the Hotel International and checked that it was indeed going to be the venue for that nights Concord meeting before setting off to Transformation.
After having already done much of my preparation back at the hotel, a final shave was all that was necessary before I changed into one of my outfits for the evening. Now I have to say that all my clothes are of the short skirt variety - that's just the way I like it - so when it comes to going out clubbing for the evening it gives me the chance to wear my shortest skirt and highest of heels. So there was no other choice than my black leather halter neck mini dress and 6" stilettos.
