Andrea's Diary (Part 6)
As mentioned in my last diary I had arranged to meet a new Photographer interested in doing a Studio shoot. His name was Don Allen and he worked from a studio in Selsdon near Croydon, his core business being photographs used in advertising and setting up clients Web Sites. He wanted to widen his portfolio into glamour and something a little different - hence his advertisement on the Transformation pages. From our meeting early in September I set about planning for our day. He gave me a good idea of what sort of look and poses he was looking for and he also confirmed the studio. I for my part set about acquiring some clothes and accessories that he wanted to see me dressed in. He was looking for a pvc look with high heels and stockings. High heels for me are a must as I love being in any of my 6" heels for photos, and indeed I suggested that I bring my 9" heels (yes 9" - no platforms as well).
Whilst short skirts and pvc presented no problems, I did not possess any suspenders or stockings as the all my skirts are so short that the stocking tops would be below my hem line. But that was actually one of the features my photographer wanted from this shoot. I already had a shiny bubble gum pink pvc ultra mini skirt and a mat black pvc mini skirt with a thigh zip that went all the way up. I took these with me when I went shopping for a matching pvc top.
This was easier said than done, as some of the tops I tried were either too short or too tight around the shoulders so they did not fit right and accentuate my curves. Finally I found a tight fitting (in all the right places) zip up front top which went fine with my shiny skirt but did not match the mat skirt - well there was nothing for it - I bought the matching shiny black skirt as well.
Stockings proved just as much of a headache as many were of the one size variety and would not suit the leg of a 5'10" girl. Finally I found some that came in larger sizes and my clothes shopping was complete.
The photo shoot was arranged for a Tuesday and I spent much of the preceding weekend with my razor - shaving my legs and arms and also, because of the poses that I may end up doing with stockings, the tops of my legs in particular.
