Andrea's Diary (Part 9)

Many thanks to all of you who commented about my last Diary. One of the constant questions I'm asked is how do I go out and about dressed as Andrea, and how could you do the same. Well one of my earlier Diaries (No.2 I think) dealt with going out during the daytime, but many have asked for some 'encouragement' on how about going out in the evenings - so here goes.
So You Want A Girl's Night Out?
Many 'girls' would love to go out dressed (to the nines!) in the evening and also maybe because they may feel a little more confident under the cover of darkness and be with other girls. Well if you remember the Four P's (Purpose, Planning, Presentation and Prepare) you may feel up to going out and facing the world.
Purpose - Going out aimlessly will achieve you nothing, you will feel self conscious and conspicuous. If you have a purpose, a reason to go out, you have an objective to focus on - I'm going out to do this... A night out easily solves this - you decide in advance where you want to go, a club or restaurant for example. Nowadays there are many 'girl' friendly places available - in Manchester (the home of Transformation for example) you have the Northern Concord meetings on a Wednesday night - and new girls always receive a friendly welcome. And you can visit a prolific number of bars, restaurants and clubs all in walking distance - even your highest stilettos are manageable (well just - mine are 6"!!).
Also,in London now on a Saturday night there is a brand new club about to open called Trans-Mission (trans- mission.org), which will specialise in making even the most nervous girl feel at home and this club will be only be a short cab ride from Transformation (here also you would be made welcome in your male self first if you just wanted to go and check it out - see Planning below).
Planning - With a purpose in mind you can consider how you are going to get there, what you will find both there and on route. Many girl-friendly clubs provide facilities for dressing (and more importantly for many, for changing back) - although I always like to go to a Transformation shop to be made up, as it also gives me the opportunity of heading off to my destination all dressed to thrill and be admired as a stunning girl (hey, that's just showing off!). But seriously, wherever you go, if you know the layout and therefore what to expect in advance, it will only add to your confidence. How will you pay? Remember your Cheque and Credit Card may be 'Mr'.
